Muriel Fern Sharpe, of Flint, passed away peacefully at her home on February 7, 2026. She was 81 years old.
Born July 22, 1944, in Sault Ste. Marie was the daughter of Haley and Dorothy (Bailey) McDonald. On November 24, 1964, she married Robert G. Sharpe in Sault Ste. Marie, and they enjoyed 57 wonderful years of marriage and raised two sons, Robert and Nathan. Muriel was a retired LPN and worked many years at St. Joe’s Hospital in Flint, she brought this talent to use at home as well as a good family health and wellness advisor and taking care of her loved ones. She had a natural talent for artistry and hands on projects, whether it was painting, woodworking or just building various things to use in her home.
Muriel is survived by her two sons, Robert and Nathan Sharpe; three grandchildren, Jacob, Robbie and Sierra; 3 great grandchildren, Gonny, Junior and Lucky; as well as sisters Molly Thompson and Kathy Brady and brother Michael MacDonald; as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert G. Sharpe in 2021, as well as brother Haley and sisters Cherry and Shelby.
Cremation services are being held with interment at the family plot on Drummond Island at a future date.
