Age 63, of Birch Run, formerly of Grand Blanc, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at home with family by his side. A funeral service will take place at 2:00pm on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services, 1194 East Mt. Morris Road, Mt. Morris, Michigan. Pastor Matt Roland to officiate with cremation to follow. Family will be present to receive friends from 11:00am until the time of the service at 2:00pm. Born on February 26, 1963, in Waco, Texas, Wayne Theron McField Jr. was the son of Wayne and Dalberta (Brewer) McField Sr. Educated locally, Wayne obtained his GED from Clio High School in 1981. He worked as a carpenter for many years, working for multiple companies within the Carpenters Union before his retirement in 2023. Even upon retirement, he completed many side jobs to keep himself busy. He was a beloved father of three, grandfather of four, and great-grandfather of two. Family was his pride and he cherished time spent with his family above all else.
In his free time, Wayne enjoyed spending time outdoors. Whether that be hunting, riding his motorcycle, or fixing things up on his many vehicles, Wayne always found means to keep his hands and mind occupied. He also would help his mother with various household renovations, including building a new deck in her backyard or remodeling multiple rooms throughout the house. When he was finished with all his tasks, he would unwind by listening to some rock and roll music and watching some of his favorite movies and shows, including Seinfeld.
Left to cherish his memory are his three children: Thera Boursaw, Justin McField, and Samantha McField; his four grandchildren: Hannah Biggers and husband, Juwan, James Boursaw Jr., Dylan Boursaw, and Miley Boursaw; his two great-grandchildren: Aurora Biggers and Julius Biggers; his mother, Dalberta McField; his siblings: Amy Cunningham and husband, Michael, Debra Pitt; his best friend, Gregory Allen; his canine companion, Rosie; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wayne was preceded in passing by his father, Wayne McField Sr.; grandparents: Betty and Charles McField, Eva Hansen; and his brother-in-law, Randy Pitt. |
