PALMER, Ardith – of Burton, Michigan, age 87 passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026. Cremation has taken place. Private inurnment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Ardith was born in Flint, Michigan on January 29, 1939, daughter of the late Frederick and Allene (Stowell) Green. She married Glenn Palmer on November 9, 1957, in Pontiac, Michigan. He predeceased her July 22, 2021. Ardith was a member at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She retired from Kettering University where she registered students for classes and was the head of planning commencements. Her family will remember her as a talented and gifted artist. She made greeting cards and often taught others her skill. Ardith also loved to quilt, paint and scrapbook. She loved playing cards. Ardith’s greatest joy was found in spending time with family and friends, but above all else spending time with her precious grandchildren.
Ardith is survived by her loving children, Michael (Diane) Palmer, Christopher (Sherri) Palmer, Jody (Theresa) Palmer and Gregory (Jennifer) Palmer; grandchildren, Karla (Frank) Ruzicka, Jason (Casey) Palmer, Shannon (Christopher) Yeates, Addison (Josh) Muhleck, Logan (Christina) Palmer and Anna Palmer; great grandchildren, Alek, Ana, Amelia, Paxton, Lucas, Charlotte, Harper, Quinn, and Hazel; siblings, Marlene Green, Yvonne (Darwon) Burnett, Douglas (Toni) Green and Phyllis Scott; many other loving family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Glenn, Ardith was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Green.
