Suzann Gail (Crawford) Carlisle
age 74 of Flint, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side at her home in the Tawas Village Retirement Community on January 18, 2022.
Suzann was born in Flint, Michigan on June 12, 1947, the daughter of Max Arnold and Margaret (Penny) Ione Crawford. She graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1966, and later attended Mott Community College where she studied to become a registered nurse. She worked for Hurley Medical Center’s 2 West Behavioral Medicine department for over 30 years before retiring to enjoy more time with her family and friends. Suzann was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Flint where she served as a Stephen Minister, and as a Caretell volunteer. She always enjoyed seeing a good movie, shopping dates with girlfriends, impromptu conversations on her front porch with neighbors, and relaxing at home with her cats.
Suzann raised two daughters, both of whom survive her; Angela [Duane] Johnson of Woodbury, Minnesota, and Melissa [Ty] Garrett of East Tawas, Michigan. She also leaves behind her loving sister Theresa [Dennis] Martin of Grand Blanc, Michigan, and four beautiful grandchildren; Morgan [Caroline] Garrett, Corbin Johnson, Ethan Johnson, and Riley Garrett, as well as several beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a half brother.
Per her wishes, Suzann was cremated at Buresh Funeral Home and Cremation Center, and a funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on May 20, 2022 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tawas City. Afterward, her ashes will be scattered at Sunset Hills Memorial Garden in Flint. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran School Scholarship Fund in Flint or Tawas Village Activity Department in East Tawas and condolences may be shared at www.Bureshfuneralhomes.com |
