HESLOP, Betty B. – of Clio, formerly Flint, age 87, died Monday, December 23, 2013 at Maple Woods Manor. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Fellowship Baptist Church, G14046 N. Saginaw in Clio. Pastor Darrel Manning officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Friends may call at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Sunday from 2PM until 8PM. She will lie in state at the church on Monday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Contributions may be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church or the Genesee County Fair.
Betty was born July 15, 1926 in Kennett, MO to the late John and Ethel (Oakes) Evans. She married Harold Heslop on May 10, 1944. He preceded her in death on November 25, 2008. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and the Genesee County Agricultural Society. She enjoyed china painting, embroidery, bird watching, baking and cooking.
Surviving are: children, Renee (Christian) Miller of Flint and Randy (Cheryl) Heslop of Flushing; 6 grandchildren, Christian (Tiffany), Jennifer (Christopher), Jonathan (Jennifer), Gretchen (Jeremiah), Ryan (Mika) and Travis (Christina);14 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Evans of Vassar; sister, Peggy Douglass of Clio; several other relatives.
