Barry was born in Mullens, West Virginia on May 5th 1952. Son of the late James and Ilma (Lusk) Brown. Graduate of Kearsley High School, Class of 1970. Proudly served his country in the U.S Army, stationed in Korea from 1972-1974. He worked at Delphi as a machine repair machinist by trade, then Foreman at Delphi and AC for over 31 years, Retired in 2007. He enjoyed Camping in Frankenmuth with family, trips to the Casino, Winters in Haines City, FL, making his famous Chop Suey and was known to all as the first person to help anyone in need.

Barry's greatest love of all was his family. Barry spent 47 years of marriage with the love of his life, Mary. Together they raised 3 boys- Jeremy, Cory, & Parker. Barry's special relationship with his boys went far beyond the role of Dad, he was their “Person”, Best Friend, and was The Best Man at Jeremy's wedding where he gained a very special daughter -Krystel. Dad was Barry's favorite role. He considered it an honor and a privilege. Like the Conway Twitty song says, “That's my job“ and he did it proudly. Barry's role of dad was so well done, he became “Pa”. Thomas, Christopher, and Marley completely adored their “Pa”. They brought an instant smile to his face the moment he entered the room. All three of the kids yelled “Pa” loudly and he would greet them with open arms. Barry's grand- kids filled his heart with youthful happiness, his pride for them was immeasurable.

“Uncle Barry”, another hat worn by a well loved man. His kindness, love, and generosity captured the hearts of four wonderful women whom Barry and Mary called “Their Girls” Ann, Dorothy, Barb, and Samantha all held a very special place in Barry's heart. He proudly watched them grow from birth to wives with families of their own. Those girls meant the world to Barry. Each of them creating their own relationship with him. Weddings, Graduations, Birthday Parties- they knew they could count on “Uncle Bare”. He was always there, right where they needed him to be.

Barry was a Husband, Father, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, Neighbor and Friend. Everyone who knew him, loved him and they knew he loved them even more.

He is survived by Mary Louise Brown (Gillette) married 47 years, Sons- Jeremy (Krystel), Cory, and Parker. Four very special nieces- Ann (Jessica) Jacob, Dorothy (Ron) Cooper, Barbara (Lyman) Stewart and Samantha (Blake) Swan. Grandchildren- Thomas, Christopher and Marley. Siblings- Linda(Terry) Bettinger, Gail (George) Ramsden, Mark and Joel Brown.

He was preceded in death by Parents- James “Bud” & Ilma Brown-Murray, Sister in law Kim Brown, In-Laws- Arba (Red) and Marguerite Gillette, and very special in-laws Bill & Beth Bennett.

Mary and Barry would like to express a great deal of gratitude to Becky/Shannon O'Neil and Carol/Sara Caine for the special care & love they gave to their children as their youth babysitters. They made an everlasting impression on their family.
