Valerie Lynn Town, age 60, of Flint, Michigan, passed away on January 9th, 2026.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24th at Flint First Wesleyan Church, 3825 Davison Rd. Flint, MI 48506. Visitation will take place from 11am to 1pm and the Service will begin at 1pm with a luncheon after the service. Officiating the service is Pastor Chad Amoss.
Valerie was born in San Mateo, California, and moved to Flint, Michigan as an infant with her family, where she spent the remainder of her life. She graduated from Kearsley High School and devoted her life to being a homemaker, caring deeply for those she loved.
Valerie loved her children and grandchildren tremendously. Her family meant everything to her, including the many friends she lovingly claimed as family. She found joy in pictures, crafting, board games, cards, and she treasured time spent together making memories.
She had a true servant’s heart and was incredibly generous with her time. Valerie always saw the best in everyone, and even when she had very little, she found a way to give. She donated her time and efforts at her church and volunteered in the community delivering food to those in need through the church food bank.
Valerie was kind and patient. She would do anything she could to show love to others, offering warmth and compassion without hesitation. Her kindness touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Valerie is survived by her long-time boyfriend Larry Kinney; her son, Travis Hoban; her twin daughters, Ashley Gidcumb (Tucker) and Alicia Bautista (Jonathan); stepchildren Michelle Wolvin, Trisha Kinney, Bobby Kinney; her siblings Harold Earegood Jr. and Donald Earegood (James); and her beloved grandchildren, Joshua, Olivia, Luciano, Evan, Layla, Thomas, Marzia, Alyana, and Ayrabella.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold W. Earegood Sr. and her mother Barbara J. Earegood (Ellison), sister-in-law Kelly Earegood.
