Timothy James “Tim” Burns of Davison, age 66, died Tuesday September 9, 2025 at McLaren-Flint
Hospital. Honoring his wishes creation has taken place. A Gathering time of family and friends will be held from 1-4 pm Saturday September 20, 2025 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Private burial will be held in Davison Cemetery at a later date. Those desiring may make
contributions in Tim’s memory to Hansen Funeral Home or his wife Patricia Burns.
Tim was born in Flint Michigan on May 24, 1959 the son of the late Robert and Ethel (Luttrell) Burns, and has resided in the Davison area his entire life. He was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1978.
He was joined in marriage to his best friend Patricia “Trish” Bigler on May 25, 1989 in Davison. Tim was considered by all as a “Good Man” who would not tolerate bigotry, chauvinism, or bullying, but still had strong opinions, and was not afraid to express them. He was a generous person who was dependable, intelligent person with great commons sense, the type of friend you could call at 3:00 am if you needed help with problem or was stranded in traffic. Tim had a great sense of humor and loved having fun with family and friends; whether spinning music at school functions or a live band in his living room at one of his many parties.
Tim had a natural love of all those around him from helping fill food drop boxes, sandwiches and food to the homeless, or just help plowing some ones driveway. He enjoyed classic cars, road trips, his enjoyment of the outdoors including time gardening. He grates love was music and his knowledge of classic rock. Tim spent his life in the building trades and was true craftsman in metal and wood and was considered by many as a Jack of all trades and a master of most. His skills included carpentry, plumbing, electrical with a true pride in workmanship.
He leaves to cherish his memory best friend and wife Patricia “Trish”, his siblings: Colleen Vuketich, Bob (Liana) Burns, Julie (Matthew) Trardos, and Matt (Malia) Burns. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, especially his great nephews Jayden and Max. Tim is also survived by numerous extended families and friends. He is preceded I death by sister Cindy Burns-Grierson, Maurene “Missy” Burns, , brother-in-law Steve Vuketich, father-in-law Don Bigler, and mother-in-law Ann and Joe Naganhe.
