LONG, Richard “Rick” Boyd Sr. – of Davison, formerly of Clio, age 73, died Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at his residence. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, July 6, 2026 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. Pastor Larry Rednower officiating. Burial at West Vienna Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday, July 6, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Christian Motorcyclist Association at PO Box 9, Hatfield, AR. 71945.
Rick was born November 9, 1952 in Flint, Michigan to the late Elwin and Geneva (Conway) Long. He grew up in Clio, Michigan and graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1970. Rick proudly served his country in the US Air Force. On October 2, 1971 he married Pamela Wren in Clio, Michigan. Prior to his retirement in 2008, Rick worked for GM at the Chevrolet Truck and Bus plant as a Painter with 36 years of service. He was a life member of Harley Owners Group, life member of Abate of Michigan Region # 20, and the Christian Motorcyclist Association where he served as a Chaplain. Rick lived and breathed Harley Davidsons and loved to ride. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and traveling with his wife. Rick loved his family and The Lord Jesus. He also loved to witness for the Lord.
Surviving are: Wife of 54 years, Pamela Long; Children, Dawn (Shawn) McClure, Rick (Kim) Long II; Grandchildren, Shaley (Mike) Potes, Trisha Coron; Great-Grandchildren, MJ Potes, Colton Potes, Wyatt Coron, Jesse Coron; and 3 brothers.
