Rose Alvarado "Helen" of Davison, Michigan, age 71, our beloved Ma joined our Dad, Federico "Freddie" Alvarado in Heaven on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at McLaren Hospital while surrounded by her children and family. Helen was born August 14, 1949 in Great Falls, Montana to Cruz and Norberta (Ortiz) DeLeon. She married the love of her life Federico "Freddie" on March 7, 1975 and enjoyed 45 years together they lived and raised their children in Flint and then moved to Davison in 2009. Helen was a member of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Flint. Helen enjoyed dancing, antiquing, being in her bowling league for 25 plus years, talking to her sister, Minnie, for hours on the phone, watching soap operas (Young and the Restless), Lifetime and Hallmark Channels, baking; but mostly enjoyed being around her family and friends. She worked for families Restaurant El Farolito Restaurant for many years until it sadly burned down in 1990 and worked for Richfield Bowling Alley until retiring in 2010. Helen and her husband enjoyed a life of bowling and Antiquing in Frankenmuth. When asked to describe Helen, you will likely hear she was just a beautiful person and always dressed to impress. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and grandma "Nenah". She is forever loved, forever missed and will always be part of our hearts. Helen is survived by her sons: Tommy DeLeon, Rayes DeLeon, Pablo (Mia) Alvarado, Fred Jr. (Jasmine) Alvarado, Louis Alvarado, Jon (Ann) Alvarado, and bonus son, Edward Maldonado; daughters: Mary (Eddie) Maldonado, Juanita Alvarado; brothers: Raynaldo (Kay) DeLeon, Gilberto (DeeDee) DeLeon, Cruz (Leigh Ann) DeLeon; beloved sister, Herminia "Minnie" (Raul) Gonzales; grandchildren; Meagan, Pablo Jr., Victoria, Miguel, Gabriel, Caleb, Tommy II, Carlos, Angel, Alicia, Nina, Presley, Peyton, Paxton, Olivia; great-grandchildren: Pablo III, Castiel, Anastasia, Francisco, and Carlos Jr.; and many special friends: Mimi Alfaro and Alfaro sisters, Lydia Ortiz, Mary Garza, Linda Munoz, Connie Molina, Carol Moreno, Mary Arzola Maldonado, Brenda Asburry; sister-in-laws: Rose Gomez, Martha Alvarado, Virginia Alvarado; special bowling friends: Debbie, Kathy, Lena, Celia, Sandra; and many speical nieces and nephews that she loved. She was the most beautiful best friend, a sister and daughters could have; to sister Herminia "Minnie" and daughters Maryellen and Juanita Alvarado. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Federico "Freddie" of 45 years also by her parents Cruz and Norberta DeLeon; sister, Elenita DeLeon; great grandson, Francisco Espinoza; and special friends: Mary Barrera, Rosa Lopez, Mary Alaniz, Mary Alonzo, Linda Espinoza, and Wanda Moreno. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 11:00am - 6:00pm with Rosary Prayer Service given by Father Paul Donnelly at 6:00pm at Brown Funeral Home - 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Committal service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 11:00am at Crestwood Cemetery, 2020 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan.
