COLEMAN, Betty Joe - Of Burton, age 86, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 9, 2014 at her home, with her son Malcolm by her side.
Visitation will be held 11am-1pm Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, followed by burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Betty Joe was born in Flint on January 11, 1928, the daughter of the late James and Lillian (Taylor) Vincent. Betty Joe was a loving and caring person, and loved by all. She loved attending family gatherings and had a passion for dancing. She lived her life to the fullest.
Betty Joe is survived and will be greatly missed by her two sons, Richard A. MacGregor Jr. of Houston, TX and Malcolm C. MacGregor of Burton;
sister, Martha and husband, Walt Frank of Millington;
brothers, Dennis and wife Brenda Vincent of Mt. Morris and Jimmy and wife Delores Vincent of Lapeer;
sister-in-law, Betty Coleman of Davison;
brother-in-law, Chuck Rappley of Grand Rapids;
cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Our heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Gentiva Hospice, who provided professional and excellent care for Betty Joe. Also a very special thank you to Cathy Krampe and Faith Johnson, who gave a part of their lives, to show love, care and kindness, caring for Betty Joe.
Betty Joe was also preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Rappley, brother, Billy Vincent, Fred G. Coleman (2nd husband), Richard A. MacGregor MGYSGT (1st husband), step-father, John Schanick, brothers-in-law, Virgil, Mark, Rex, Dwight, Warren and Ivan Coleman, sisters-in-law, Helen, Noreen, Betty and Wanda Coleman.
