HAGER, David Warren - Of Swartz Creek, age 64, died Thursday, September 28, 2023 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Visitation 2-8pm Monday and 11am Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
David was born in Flint, Michigan on September 3, 1959, the son of James and Delores (Chambers) Hager. On September 27, 1981, he married Cheryl Skinner in Flint, Michigan. David was hired into General Motors in 1978 where he was employed for 44 years before retiring in February 2020. He enjoyed hunting, playing the guitar, snowmobiling, boating and a good cigar. He was affectionally known as “Papa” to his grandsons. Above all else, David loved spending time with his grandsons.
Surviving are wife, Cheryl;
daughter, Jenn (Travis) Mitchell;
grandsons, Hunter and Hayden Mitchell;
mother, Delores Hager;
siblings, Tim (Mindy) Hager, Laura (Al) Miller;
and nephews, Eric (Tiffany) Hager, Matt Hager, Warren Miller and Andrew Miller.
He was preceded in death by son, Jason Hager, dad, James Hager and brother, Brian Hager.
