HOWE, Billy - Of Flint, age 69, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Visitation only will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, from 12Noon to 8pm.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society.
Billy was born in Flint, Michigan on May 9, 1956, the son of Von Dale and Norma (Barber) Howe. He never met a stranger. He made a point to really get to know people and put a smile on their face with a good bad dad joke. He was known for being kind and caring, he devoted much of his time to others, especially his 96-year-old father. He retired from General Motors after 30 years and had numerous lifelong friends from there, including John Apperson and the infamous Beer Snobs. Outside of work, he enjoyed the simple things in life. He was a true Michigander, loving to hunt, fish, and garden. He was a huge U of M fan, and he was always cheering on the Detroit Lions, Tigers, and Red Wings, oh my! He loved his woman, his dogs, a cold beer, a good conversation and that old time rock and roll. He was a GREAT UNCLE! Billy will be deeply missed and remembered as the life of the party. He was one of the good ones.
Surviving are father, Von Howe;
Siblings, Phyllis (Doug) Hollabaugh, Barry (Tammy) Howe and Melissa (Ken) Hyde;
Aunt, Karen Howe.
Billy was a GREAT UNCLE to several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Lori Mercura, mother, Norma Howe, sister, Karen Kile, nephew, Don Kile and uncle, Kenny Howe.
