FINCHER, Fay Lorraine – Of Flint, age 83, died Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Fay was tenth of eleven children born in Belknap Township, Michigan on December 9, 1937, the daughter of Edward A. and Edna A. Krey and was born in the old farmhouse; her dad was the midwife.
On October 19, 1957 she married Charles Reid Fincher at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hagonsville, Michigan.
She was a housewife, gardener; and she loved to sew, take care of her grandchildren and traveling.
Surviving are children, Lisa Limon and Stephanie (Jack) Sharp;
lots of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Fincher; daughter, Sona Fincher; 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
