RIVETT, Marilyn Sue – of Grand Blanc, MI, age 61, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on March 26, 2018. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 12 PM Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Elder Lon Varner officiating. Visitation will be 10 AM – 12 PM Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
Marilyn was born in Flint, MI on September 27, 1956, daughter of Carl and Mary (Luce) Uptegraff. She loved woodworking, gardening, riding her motorcycle and most of all her family. Marilyn retired from the US Postal Service, and was a member of both the Community of Christ Church and the National Society Daughters of the Union 1861-1865.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, David; sons, Michael (Laura) Beutler, Charles Beutler; granddaughter, Abigail Beutler; step daughters, Tammy (Jon) Nelson, Tracie (Mark) Walz, Trisha (Shane) Anderson; many step grandchildren; mother, Mary Uptegraff; brother, David (Connie) Uptegraff; sister, Carolyn Phillips; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Uptegraff.
