LUCAS, Betty Ann – of Mt. Morris, age 88, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 1, 2026, at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church – 11110 Saginaw St., in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Roy Horning officiating. Burial in St Mary's Calvary Catholic Cemetery to follow. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 4PM until 8PM and at the church on Tuesday from 12PM until the time of Mass at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Autism Speaks.
Betty was born November 6, 1937, to the late William and Roselyn Hudson. She attended Mt. Morris High School and was a wonderful stay-at-home mother for much of her life. On July 24, 1954, she married the love of her life, Luke Lucas, and together they shared over 70 years of marriage before Luke preceded her in death on June 6, 2025. Betty and Luke were faithful members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. She enjoyed needlepointing, camping, baking, and completing jigsaw puzzles. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. Betty will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
Betty is forever remembered by: Children: Teresa Lucas, Mike (Rena) Lucas, David Lucas, and Christa (Joe) Lafuente; Special nephew, Gordon (Ernie) Hudson; Grandchildren: Randy Quinn, Renee Owens, Joseph Lucas, Debra Lucas, Dana (Matt) Olson, Diane Lucas, Alex Lafuente, Chase Lafuente, and Lucas Hudson; Great Grandchildren: Briahna Owens, Samantha Owens, Beck Wilson, Lucas Olson, Emory Olson, Caleb Olson, and Baby Millie due August 2026; Sister, Madelon (Ted) Tolson; Many nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Betty was preceded in death by: Husband, Luke; Son, Joseph Lucas; Parents, William and Roselyn; Several siblings.
