HOUSER, Martin – of Davison, age 74, passed away on December 1, 2020. A Mass of Christian Burial, with military honors, will be held at 12 PM Friday, December 4, 2020 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison. Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Thursday and 11 AM until time of Mass Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A rosary will be prayed 6:30PM Thursday at the church by the Knights of Columbus. Memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or Davison Knights of Columbus. The family would like to especially thank the McLaren Home Hospice staff for their special care.
Martin was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on September 30, 1946, son of Martin Houser and Eleanor Lashley. He married Beth Martin on February 1, 1969 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Davison. He graduated from Scotland School in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Martin proudly served his country in the US Army from December 3, 1965 to December 1, 1967. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Marty enjoyed playing golf, playing ping-pong with his buddies, and fishing with everyone, but especially his brother-in-law, Cisco. He was a member of the Davison Knights of Columbus and Davison VFW. Marty loved traveling with family, friends and Fr. Andrew.
Martin is survived by his wife, Beth; children, Katie (Scott) Rush, Brenda (Don) Pietras, Marty (Jenna) Houser and Laura (Tara) Houser; grandchildren, Brian, David and Jessica Rush; Kyle, Cara and Nate Pietras; Cole, Ethan and Leena Houser; sister-in-law, Nora Houser; brother, Rick (Karen) Houser; sister, Barb (Cisco) Bellew; brothers, Mark and Kevin Houser; father, Martin Houser and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor; twin brother, Joe and brother, Scott.
