PERAINO, Paul. – of Clio, age 59, died Friday, September 25, 2015 at Genesys Regional Medical Center of Grand Blanc. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery with full military honors under the direction of the Clio American Legion Post #158. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 12-8PM, Tuesday from 11AM until 8PM and Wednesday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM.
Paul was born March 21, 1956 in San Vito Lo Capo, Sicily to the late Andrea and Vita (Adranga) Peraino. He attended Longfellow Junior High and Flint Northern High School. Paul married Robin Wheeler August 16, 1974 in Lincoln Park Baptist Church. Mr. Peraino is a U.S. Army Veteran - 101st Airborne Division. He was a business owner for many years and also worked with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He enjoyed gambling and going to the casino, bowling, golfing, cooking, Sci-Fi and oil painting. He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. Above all, Paul’s grandchildren were his life and he loved spending time with them.
Surviving are: Wife, Robin Peraino of Clio; Children: Jennifer (Damon) Sewell of Flint, Paul D. (Jennifer) Peraino of Burton, Bradley (Sara) Peraino of Clio, Andrew J. Peraino (Fiancee Sara) of Flint and Jennette (William) Bowling of Fenton (Paul was also an extended father to many.) Grandchildren: Aubrey Mikovits, Jacob Brett, Vidina Peraino, Cordelia Sewell, Caiden Brett, Micah Peraino, Timothy Brinkley and Mason Peraino; Brothers: Rocco Peraino, Andrew Peraino and Nicolo Peraino; Sisters in law: Merrianne (David) Spencer and Kathy (Larry) Osterhout; Many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
