KONOSKI, Betty J.- of Montrose, age 87, died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at McLaren - Flint. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Montrose. Fr. Paul Schwermer officiating. Burial will be Monday, October 21, 2013 at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Friends may call at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Thursday from 12-9 PM. A memorial service will be held at 6 PM by the Clio American Legion-Ladies Auxiliary unit #158. A rosary will follow at 7PM. Mrs. Konoski will lie in state at the church on Friday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Contributions may be made to the Clio American Legion-Ladies Auxiliary Unit #158.

Betty was born January 5, 1926, in Roscommon, Michigan to the late George and Violet (Kenny) Shuart. She married Benny Konoski on April 17, 1954 in Flint, Michigan. Betty served as a former president of the Flint American Legion AC Post #366 – Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She enjoyed dancing, crocheting, sewing, quilting, fishing and camping. Betty also enjoyed watching deer with her husband. She was also a wonderful cook who enjoyed canning and baking.

Surviving are: husband, Benny; daughters, Arlene Wolan, Lois (Gary) Keeler; 10 grandchildren, Bette, Renee, Don, Jessica, Kay, Aubrie, Kim, Will, Sherry, Bob; 11 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; brother, Bill Burmeister; sister, Ruth Fritzler.
