WOLCOTT, DeVere Elias, Jr. – of Davison, MI, age 88, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Friday, July 1, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Gary Loudermilk officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-1 PM Friday, July 1, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Family Community Church of the Nazarene, in DeVere’s memory.
DeVere was born in Grayling, MI on August 5, 1933, son of the late DeVere and Corinne (Sheldon) Wolcott. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, during the Korean War, from 1952-1956. DeVere married Margaret Regnerus on December 26, 1953 in Grayling, MI. He retired from General Motors in 1998 after 41 years of service. DeVere attended Family Community Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed trips to the casino, camping, fishing and spending time with his family.
DeVere is survived by his wife, Margaret Wolcott; daughter, Deborah Ellen (Archie) Moore; 4 grandchildren, Gilbert (Jenna) McCord II, Jeremy (Dawn) Boillat, Jeffery (Vicki) Boillat and Jennifer (Shay) Snider; 12 great-grandchildren, Morgan McCord, Madison McCord, Gilbert McCord III, DeVere McCord, Jeremy Boillat Jr., Moriah Boillat, Jordan Durden, Kimberlee Boillat, Jeffery Boillat, Jamie Boillat, Jacob Boillat and Rebecca Trobaugh; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Elena Mae McCord and Gilbert McCord IV; 2 step-grandchildren, Amy (Pat) Turowicz and Brandon Moore; 3 step-great-grandchildren, Brianna Moore, Mason Moore and Clayton Moore; 2 step-great-great-grandchildren, Skyler and Mia; 2 sisters, Audrey Williams and Clara Gibbs; numerous nieces, nephews, many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, DeVere and Corinne Wolcott.
