HILL, Jennie Louise (Behrendt) Everdon-Cunningham – of Burton, age 91, passed away July 23, 2014 at her home. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday, 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice or American Cancer Society.
Jennie was born in Flint, MI on April 6, 1923, daughter of the late Walter and Frances (Field) Behrendt. She married Lt. W.C. Everdon on June 19, 1942 and he was killed in WWII. Jennie then married Theodore Cunningham on June 16, 1946 and they celebrated 50 years of marriage on June 16, 1996. On June 9, 1998, she married Donald R. Hill. Jennie worked for General Motors at A.C. Spark Plug for 30 years retiring in 1982. Jennie was a member of U.A.W. Local #651. She loved sewing, painting china and traveling.
Jennie is survived by her husband, Donald; children, Wayne (Joan) of Burton, Gary (Sandra) of Fenton, John (Tina) of Flint; grandchildren, Mark of Brown City, Nathan of Flint, Trever of Flint, Benjamin of Fenton, Jennie of Fenton, Felicia and Tabitha of Flint; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Lt. W.C. Everdon; husband, Theodore Cunningham; grandson, David Wayne Cunningham; brother, Walter Behrendt of Holly.
