HOWSER, Carol A. – Of Burton, age 78, died Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Visitation 1-3 and 5-8 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Carol was born in Burton Township, MI on July 3, 1937, daughter of the late Lewis and Eunice (Ulrich) DerMiner.
On March 26, 1955 she married John D. Howser.
She was an avid Bingo player, member of the Burton Senior Center, loved playing Wii Bowling, crocheting, raced at Auto City, loved camping and going to casinos.
Mrs. Howser retired from Carman-Ainsworth Schools.
Surviving are sons, John and wife Theresa,
Chris and wife Annette;
5 granddaughters who she called the “Fab Five”;
4 great-grandsons;
brothers, Harry and wife Jackie and Richard;
many nieces, nephews and dog, Buffy.
