ELMER, Mary- Of Flint, age 94, died Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 4pm Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 2051 West Maple Avenue, Flint, Pastor Paul Boerger officiating.
Burial in Mount Joy Cemetery in Harrisville, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lamb of God Building Fund.
Visitation 4-8pm Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mrs. Elmer will be at the church from 3pm Tuesday until the time of the service.
Mary was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 26, 1924. On September 16, 1950 she married Lloyd Elmer. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and then Lamb of God Lutheran Church.
Surviving are son, Lloyd (Norma);
3 grandchildren, Deidre Snider (Thaddeus Albers), Nicole (Brandon) Dinser and Brett Elmer;
3 great-grandchildren, Isis, Isaac and Colt;
2 step-great-grandchildren, Logan and Andrew;
daughter-in-law, Laurie; brother-in-law, Dick Weber;
siblings, Bill Long, Tom (Virginia) Long and David Long;
and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended church family and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, son Mark, sister Marsha, and sister-in-law Sandy.
