ROBINSON, Daniel Paul of Mt. Morris, Michigan died November 1, 2019 after a long, difficult struggle to recuperate from an illness he suffered in April, 2018.
A memorial service will be held 1pm Friday, November 8, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend Cathi Huvaere officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CIDP Foundation.
Visitation 5-8pm Thursday and 12pm Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Dan was born on January 2, 1961 in Flint, Michigan where he grew up in a very loving family. He developed his expertise as an auto mechanic and put that knowledge to good use as the former owner of Mike's Auto Service in Clio, Michigan. He often said the thing he most enjoyed about his job was interacting with and serving his customers. He furthered his career in customer service by providing his automotive and technical expertise on several help desks including working for Morley in Saginaw as a Technical Consultant.
Dan turned his love of computers and technology into a hobby and became the go-to person for all questions technical in nature. He was an avid bowler and golfer, loved movies, enjoyed reading (especially fantasy and sci-fi novels), and could bake a delicious cheesecake. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his children.
Dan is survived by his mother, Mildred Lorainne Robinson, daughters Jennifer (Jason) Trimble, Sarah Robinson and Rebecca Robinson, son Jonathon Robinson, sisters Deborah (Hikmat) Karyakose and Jill Robinson, and brother Richard (Christi) Robinson. Dan was dearly loved by his nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, Harland Dean Robinson.
