Logan William Welch
March 14th, 1995 - November 5th, 2025
Logan William Welch, age 30 of Grand Blanc, Michigan, passed away on November 5th, 2025.
Born on March 14th, 1995, Logan was a lifelong resident of the community he loved. He attended Grand Blanc Community Schools and graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 2013. He went on to Central Michigan University to earn both his Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management and his Master’s Degree in Business Leadership.
A passionate sports fan and a proud supporter of Notre Dame and Arizona athletics, Logan shared his enthusiasm with the next generation. Since 2019, he has served as the 7th grade football coach for Grand Blanc West Middle School, where he inspired countless young athletes with his positive attitude, contagious passion and love of teamwork.
Logan was employed with Trims Unlimited in Almont, Michigan where he worked as a Plant Manager. He was an amazing leader who was kind, efficient, professional and loved his job. His incredible work ethic was second to none.
In 2022, Logan married his high school sweetheart, Hannah Welch, and together they were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child in April. Becoming a “Girl Dad” was being anticipated with tremendous joy and would have been his greatest accomplishment. Logan loved his wife deeply, she was his favorite person, and he valued family more than anything. He cherished time with family and friends - especially the simple, everyday moments. His siblings, Kylie, Eli and Matt were his best friends and most trusted confidants. Logan’s friends were more than friends to him. They formed a brotherhood and anyone who was his friend knows this to be true.
In the hallway of Grand Blanc West Middle School is a large picture of Logan with the trait LEADERSHIP stated under his name. He could lead in his workplace, in his home, in his family, on a football field, as a point guard, and with his friends. He was often the glue that held people together and the light that made everybody want to be around him. He modeled his life after his favorite quote, “Great Leaders don’t set out to be a leader…they set out to make a difference…now go make a difference.” Logan made a difference in the lives of others daily.
Logan was full of life. He loved his life, his wife, and his family immensely. He loved to celebrate everything and everyone. He loved family traditions, fantasy leagues, competing in any event and wearing basketball shorts all year long. He was the proud founder of “The Annual Turkey Bowl” played on Thanksgiving morning each year. His enthusiasm to be around people he loved was magnetic.
In 1995, Logan came into this world during the March Madness Tournament. As his favorite song, “One Shining Moment” says, “time is short and the road is long, in the blinking of an eye that moment’s gone.” Even though your moment is gone, your legacy lives on forever. You will always be a fan favorite, especially with your baby girl. Watch over us Logan, our now guardian angel.
Logan will be deeply missed by his wife Hannah Welch, his daughter, his parents Jill Welch, Bill (Suzanne) Welch, sister Kylie (Matt) Hutcheson, brother Elijah Welch, niece Blake Hutcheson, in-laws Darell and Ramona Scherba, brother in-law Nick (Sarah) Scherba, grandparents Bill and Susan Gregor, Bill and Carol Welch, Aunt Allison (Kevin) Davis, Aunt Cheryl Elmer, Aunt Leanne Welch, four cousins Cassidy, Sydney, Dylan, and Fletcher, step siblings, Chelsea (Alex, Jax) Thaden and Grant Miller, and many other relatives and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hannah Welch.
