RODGERS, Richard "Dale" - age 86, Of Lennon, passed away April 6, 2021. Private Services will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Rd. Chapel 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Dr. Gerald Woodruff officiating. Dale's service will be live streamed and may be viewed at 1 PM, Friday April 9th on his obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. Entombment Crestwood Memorial Cemetery.
Dale was born February 10, 1935 in Kieffer, WV the son of Clarence Edward and Amanda Mae (Armstrong) Rodgers. He married Joyce Ann Hazzard in Flint, February 1, 1958. Dale was employed as a Checker/Lift Truck Driver for 37 years with GM retiring in 1991. He was a member of Old Fashioned Baptist Church in Vernon and was a very devoted Christian. Dale enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, bird watching, and hunting. Dale especially enjoyed being around his children and grandchildren spending countless hours visiting with them on his porch.
Dale will be dearly missed by: his wife, Joyce; daughters, Bonnie (Bill) Camp, Anita (Dave) Goulet, and Dianna (Neil) Bindschatel; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grand children; 6 brothers, and 3 sisters; many nieces and nephews. " Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me."
