PARTIN, Dorothy Jean – of Clio, age 86, died Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Wellspring Lutheran Services. Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 PM Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or the National Wildlife Federation.
Dorothy was born February 5, 1934 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to the late Martin and Mattie (Winters) Mallard. She resided in Flint, Michigan before moving to Clio, Michigan in 1970. She attended Dyersburg Schools in Tennessee and then went on to graduate from Parkview Hospital with her LPN in nursing. On August 15, 1970 she married Peter Partin Jr. in Flint, Michigan and he preceded her in death. Prior to her retirement, Dorothy worked as an LPN in Flint area hospitals. She enjoyed work, exercising, country music and going to church. Dorothy also loved to go shopping and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are: Daughter, Kelly (Chris) Gardy; Grandchildren, Ezekiel Gardy, Elijah Gardy; Siblings, Fred (Marcella) Mallard, Oralee (Jerry) Powell, Elese (David) Maloy, Paul Mallard; several nieces and nephews.
