Margaret "Peggy" Janet Royce, of Flushing, Michigan, age 99, died Sunday, June 26, 2022. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 29 at Rossell Funeral Home. Private burial to take place at Sunset Hills Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
Peggy was born in Flint, Michigan on January 21, 1923 to Ellsworth and Mary (Kenney) Alexander. She graduated from St. Michael Catholic High School in Flint. On December 21, 1946 she married Neil Carlton Royce and together they had four children. He preceded her in death in 1959.
She retired from Buick in 1985 with over 30 years of service. She was a member of St. John Vianney church for many years.
She enjoyed traveling the world, having new experiences and making friends wherever she went. But above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother and GiGi who inspired us all with her intellect, independence and enjoyment of life.
Peggy is survived by her children, Carol (Robert) Turley, Brian (JoAnn) Royce, Lynette Clark, and Mark Royce; daughter-in-law, Sue Royce; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil; son-in-law, Jerry Clark; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Royce; and sisters, Mary Alice Lemmen and Barbara Keeler. |
