GAUTHIER, Joseph L. – of Clio, age 85, died Sunday, April 23, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Danny Bledsoe officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11AM until 8PM and Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Contributions may be made to the Krapohl Senior Center in Mt. Morris.
Joseph was born October 14, 1931 in Flint, Michigan to the late Albert and Bertha (DeCurry) Gauthier. He married Beverly Ann Minglecook on February 6, 1954. She preceded him in death February 13, 1987. Mr. Gauthier retired from Buick with over 40 years’ seniority. Joseph was a member of the UAW Local #599, Knights of Columbus, and the Krapohl Senior Center. He enjoyed woodworking, bowling, fishing, and camping. Joseph also enjoyed playing softball, horse shoes, and corn hole.
Surviving are: Sons: Michael Gauthier, Albert Gauthier, and Jeffrey (Crystal) Gauthier; Daughter, Annie (Rueben) Butler; 10 grandchildren: Heather, Grant, Garret, Bryce, Ryan, Brook, Stacey, Brittany, Tyler, and Raeann; 2 great grandchildren: Nolan and James; Daughter in law, Marcie Gauthier; Sister in law, Phyllis Kotowicz. Joseph was also preceded in death by his sons: Maurice Gauthier in 1986, and Matthew Gauthier in 2016; Brother, Albert Gauthier; Sister, Margaret Land, and loving companion, Margaret Fox.
