BULLOCK-ZARUBA, Phyllis E.-- age 91, of Swartz Creek, passed away October 23, 2020. Funeral Services will be 3 PM Monday, October 26 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Pastor Mark Pretznow officiating. Interment will be 11 AM Tuesday, October 27 at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-3 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Phyllis was born June 6, 1929 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Dale Finley and Doris H. (Strine) Bullock. She graduated from Bendle High School. She married Edward Zaruba on May 21, 1966 and he preceded her in death on February 4, 1982. She was a member of Lamb of God Church and was a volunteer at FOH for 20 years.
She is survived by three children, Sandy Thayer of Burton, Sue Berger-Schisler (JR Schisler) of Flint Township, and John Weng of Howell; daughter-in-law, Tammy Weng of Iron River; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Edward; daughter, Sheryl Okopien; three grandchildren, John Weng, Tommy Summerfield, and Nicole Burton;brother, Bill Bullock; son Harry Weng Jr.; daughter Dawn Summerfield.
