CORRIGALL, RONALD KENT – Of Flushing, age 93, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024 in Viera, Florida.
Visitation will be at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, 10am on Monday, April 8, 2024 until the time of the service at 11am.
An urn burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Gaines, Michigan at a later date.
Ronald was born on April 13, 1930 in Flint, to the late James Willard and Grace Corrigall. He was a proud 1948 Flint Central graduate and received his pharmacology degree from Ferris Institute on February 22, 1952 and received his doctorate in the same field in Arizona on October 13, 1982.
Ronald served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1954.
Along with his father and brother, Sumner, they owned and operated the Corrigall Pharmacy’s in Flint for over 40 years, retiring in 1998.
Ronald loved to play golf with his family and friends and received a trophy for his hole-in-one on Hole 3, 115 yards at the Owosso Country Club on May 28, 1969.
His work ethic was unmatched, building his own home in 1966 and took great pride in his lawn.
Ronald’s sense of humor was one of his best qualities. Ronald also loved to play cards with his friends, Leroy Lowe and Miles Dorhout, and tinkering around with Keith Hayward, building and remodeling the house.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Jeanne;
daughter, Kellie (Brian);
step-daughters, Susan and Sandra (Jon);
grandchildren, Lindsey (Jason), Troy (Amber), Hunter (Samantha), Kyle (Nora), Kent (Samantha), Katie (Ryan), Ian (Ashley), Cecilia (Aharon), Chelsea (Tyler), Zachery, Mark and William.
He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; a niece, a nephew and his furry friend, Scotty.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Elizabeth; son, Kent; daughter, Kay; brother, Sumner and sister-in-law, Leone.
