D’ANGELO, ROBIN ELIZABETH (CONWAY) – of Swartz Creek, age 66, passed into the hands of God on a sunny afternoon, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, December 12, 2025.
Robin was born in Flint, Michigan, on May 20, 1959, the daughter of Robert Lloyd and Marie Terese (Levangie) Conway.
She grew up in the Little Missouri neighborhood of Flint, MI, and later graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1977. Following high school, Robin pursued a nursing degree from Mercy School of Nursing in Grand Rapids, MI.
Robin was a loving mother and a caring, dedicated Registered Nurse for more than 40 years. She cared deeply for those around her and carried a profound compassion for people. A woman of strength, she always had something meaningful to say, and she shared her wisdom with gentleness and grace. A great listener, she was selfless in all that she did—something evident in the diligence and thoroughness she brought to her nursing career and in the strong kindness she offered to others.
Robin found comfort in the simple joys of home. She loved watching the neighborhood birds and geese from her windows, tending to her basil plants, and spending time with her beloved cat, Muffin—moments that brought her peace and contentment. She was also a devout Catholic, parishioner, and active volunteer at St. Pius X Catholic Church of Flint for many years.
Her heart belonged most of all to her children, whom she loved with unwavering devotion. Robin was present in all activities of her children, from serving as a catechism and Vacation Bible School teacher, PTA member, Girl and Boy Scouts leader, and an active mom attending sporting events and dance classes. Robin was always there to lend support and a listening ear. She leaves cherished memories of time spent around the family table—sharing stories, laughter, and homemade food. She loved looking through photos of treasured moments and recounting the stories behind them.
She is survived by her three beautiful children, Joe D’Angelo, and his wife, Meg, of Monroe, MI; Mark D’Angelo and his partner, Joseph Fisher of Boston, MA; daughter, Kelly D’Angelo of Royal Oak, MI; brother, Don Conway and his wife Darla of Flint, MI; sister-in-law, Terrie Conway of Grand Rapids, MI; loving father of her three children, Steve D’Angelo of Swartz Creek, MI; and many beloved nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, family and friends.
She was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Robert and Marie Conway; brothers, Bob, Jim, Pat, Tim; and sister, Dawn.
