PHELPS, Edna Marie (Lotz) – of Flint, MI, age 87, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021 at the Pines of Burton. A Funeral Service will be held 12 PM Friday, July 30, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Marie O’Leary officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Thursday, July 29, 2021 and 11 AM-12 PM Friday, July 30, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home.
Edna was born in Grand Blanc, MI on March 19, 1934, daughter of the late Raymond William and Sylvia (Fellows) Lotz. She married Virgil E. Phelps on July 2, 1960 and he preceded her in death on February 4, 2008. Edna was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church since 1975 and past president of Flint Women’s Aglow. She enjoyed baking, needlepoint and watching Westerns.
Edna is survived by 2 sons, Virgil R. Phelps and Eric (Danalynn) Phelps; 3 grandchildren, Dawn, Mitchell Don Phelps and Sawyer Phelps; 2 great-grandchildren, Andrew and Ayden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond William and Sylvia Lotz; husband, Virgil E. Phelps; 2 daughters, Valerie Phelps and Diana Dibble; 2 sisters, Arlis and Eleanor.
