HOLYFIELD, BRIAN - Of Flint, Michigan, age 77, died Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street Grand Blanc. Father Leronio Vodivodi officiating.
Visitation 2-8pm Monday April 28, 2025, at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 East Hill Road Flint.
Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Visitation 9am Tuesday at church until the time of the Mass.
Burial at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Brian was born in Flint, Michigan on September 21, 1947, the son of the late James and Shirley (Eagle) Holyfield. He married Vicky Hiney on August 13, 1983. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and worked at the Outreach at Holy Family for many years. Brian worked at Flint Truck and Bus for several years, retiring in 2000. He was Sergeant of Arms at Local# 598. Brian participated in the Gus Macker and the Crim. He enjoyed boxing and shooting pool and also loved U of M sports.
Surviving are wife, Vicky; children, April Moon, Brian Holyfield, Heather (Andy) O’Brien, Misty (Chris) Marks, Jennifer Holyfield, Joe (Nicole) Hiney and Carrie Nicholson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Campbell; brothers, Danny and Jimmy Holyfield.
