VEIT, Voneber – of Davison, MI, age 85, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. A Private Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Cremation will take place after the service. Visitation will be 1 – 3 PM on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison, MI 48423, in Voneber’s memory.
Voneber was born in Flint, MI on April 4, 1936, son of the late Vergil and Clara (Brenner) Veit. He married Janet L. Wood on July 27, 1956. Voneber worked at General Motors, retiring in 1990’s after 30 years of service. He was an avid fisherman, loved to hunt and enjoyed woodworking.
Voneber is survived by his wife, Janet; children, Dawn (Jeff) Webb, Eric (Ruth) Veit, Duane (Kelly) Veit, Lesa (Jeff) Neese, Lori (Jim Fejedelem) Kesten and Grectchen (John) Solis; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Cliff (Mary-Jane); and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by brothers, Dario and Jacob, sister, Donna Neil.
