BEVERLY McKINSTRY died June 22, 2011 in Barton City, Michigan at 90 years of age.
Beverly was born September 15, 1920 in Flint, Michigan, where she lived most of her life. She attended Northern High School and graduated from Beecher High School in 1937. She also attended GMI during the war and tested navigational equipment at AC. She married Lloyd McKinstry on April 19, 1943. They were able to celebrate their 60th anniversary together.
She is survived by her five children; Sally (Charles) Hutchinson of Davison, Gayle (Walter) Barlow of Durand, D. Scott (Kathyrn) McKinstry of Fountain Inn, S.C., Michael McKinstry of Petoskey and Nancy McKinstry of Flint. 11 grandchildren; Denise Welsh, Darren Hyde, Darcy Gyaltso, Melanie (Aaron) Morrison, Julie (Mark) Whitten, Douglas, Jr. (Tara) McKinstry, Amanda (Joshua) Koch, Emily Psenski, Michael Psenski, Marissa Bailey and Jacquelyn Bailey. 16 great-grandchildren; Brittany and Cailey Hyde, Louis and James King, Robin and Alex Erickson, Alicia and Natalie Augustine, Adam and Brady Hausler, Jedieah Whitten, Raymond Koch, Violet and Banan McKinstry, Anneliese Pertler and Hayley Psenski. One great-great grandchild, Dylan Clark. Also survived by six step-grand and great grandchildren. One sister, Janet Johnson, sister-in-laws; Norma (Neal) Beckner and Gladys Ladd along with several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd McKinstry, her brother and sister-in-law, Dale Johnson and Robert E. Ladd, a niece, Kathy Wilson and her parents; George A. Thornton and Maude F. Crawford Thornton.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 A.M., Monday, June 27, 2011 at Sovereign Grace Baptist Church, 5069 Fairchild Street, Swartz Creek, Michigan. The family will receive friends at church from 11-1 P.M. on Monday prior to the funeral service. Pastor Jerry Locher officiating. Burial will be at Flint Memorial Park.
