Velma R. Rossman – age 93, passed away April 20, 2018 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11 AM with one hour of visitation prior to at Goodrich United Methodist Church – 8071 S. State Road, Goodrich, Michigan with Reverend Joel Walther officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 2pm – 4pm & 6pm – 8pm at Goodrich United Methodist Church. Interment to take place at Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston, Michigan. Velma was born on March 25, 1925 to the late Albert and Irlene Parker in Auburn Heights, Michigan. On August 23, 1947 she married the love of her life Elmer Rossman and together they built a life full of happiness. Velma was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Goodrich United Methodist Church for 63 years. Throughout those years she was involved in many activities such as sewing dresses for Haiti, quilting, and the pastie fundraiser. She was a wonderful woman that will be deeply missed. Velma is survived by her children: Roger (Joy) Rossman, Marsha (William) Peters, Keith (Laurie) Rossman, Beth (Jim) Ridge; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Rossman, parents, and her brother. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Goodrich United Methodist Church or Epilepsy Foundation.
