Wanda H. Willey, age 93, of Davison, passed away Sept. 6, 2020, at home surrounded by family. Wanda was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas, on Nov. 28, 1926. She was the daughter of Williams R. Allison and Lois Stull. Wanda worked for years at General Motors in Flint before retiring in 1955. She was a member of the Otisville Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Rebekah's Lodge Ardell 214 in Davison since 1995, where she served as Grand Noble in 1998 and 2002. Wanda enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and gardening. She will especially be remembered for her love of dogs. Above all else, Wanda cherished her family and her friends, never missing a moment to spend time with them. She had a special ability to make you feel special every time she saw you. Wanda instilled in her family her strong faith in God, her relentless work ethic, and her positive outlook on life. She made the most of every moment she was given. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph Lee Willey, brother Jimmie Allison and granddaughter Sheryl Lynn. Wanda is survived by her three children Joanie (Carl) Snyder, Carol Kline, and Joseph (Cindy) Willey, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren, as well as her beloved Maltese, Buddy (AKA Shorty). Special thanks to American Hospice Home Care ladies - Nurse, Heather, and her aide Katrina. Also, thanks to her caregivers, Crystal, Renee, and Rosanna. Together, with her family, Wanda was able to remain in her home until her final day. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held with interment at Meadowview Memorial Cemetery in Davison, MI, date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, Wanda has requested donations be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital or the Humane Society of Genesee County. |
