BRUBAKER, Kevin D. – of Swartz Creek, age 83, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Hospice House of Shiawassee County. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Gary Loudermilk officiating. Visitation will be held 1-2 PM Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
Kevin was born in Toledo, OH on August 11, 1934, son of the late Walter and Adeline (Stein) Brubaker. He married Janet Adams on January 17, 1970. Kevin worked in Quality Assurance for General Mills and retired in 1989. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, sailing on Lake Huron, fishing and baseball, especially the Cleveland Indians. Kevin also appreciated classical and show music. Later in life, he liked to watch movies and work on puzzles. Kevin was a dog lover and had a number of close friends. He lived in Presque Isle, MI near Alpena for a number of years.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janet Brubaker; children, Eric (Tammy) Brubaker, Jeffrey Brubaker, Tracy Storer, Kevin “Chip” Brubaker; grandchildren, Hailee Perkins, Sarah (Jeremy) Redfox, Brandon (Stephanie) Kretzmar, Jennifer Brubaker, Derrick Brubaker; great-granddaughters, Kayla Redfox, Bliss and Braylee Kretzmar. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Virginia.
