WEST, Dennis W. – of Clio, age 77, died on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at his residence with family by his side. Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Bethany United Methodist Church – 353 E. Vienna St., in Clio. Pastor Bryan Spooner officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Wednesday from 12PM until 8PM and on Thursday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Clio Community Services or Joshua’s House Maternity Home.
Dennis was born January 12, 1944, in Lapeer, Michigan to the late Earl and June (Judd) West. He graduated from Clio High School in 1962. Dennis Married Donna Cable on October 19, 1963, at Bethany United Methodist Church in Clio. Mr. West retired from Buick as a welder in 1999 with over 30 years of service. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Dennis enjoyed building and fixing things, he took great pride in his work and built 10 houses on his own over the years, including a foster care home and homes for his family members. He also enjoyed bowling, sports – especially baseball and football, and trips to Florida with his friends. Above all, Dennis loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are: Wife, Donna West; Children: Jeffrey West, Craig (Tammy) West, and Amy (Robert) Nash; Grandchildren: Trever West, Taygen (Jacob) Purman, Cameron West, Allie Ehrmantraut, Brandon Ehrmantraut, Lindsy Nash, Cy West, and Julia West; Great grandchildren: Analee Gatica, and Asher Purman; Siblings: Steve (Donna) West, Kim Dues, Shelly Reid, and Tammy Chadwell.
