Bernitta was born May 14, 1942, in Flint, Michigan to the late Joseph and Marie (Hughes) Harger. She had resided in the Flint area most of her life. She was a graduate of Beecher High School. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Husband, Raymond; 4 children: Larry Payne of FL., Kevin (Diane) Payne of Montrose, Richard Payne of Millington, and Regina (William) Bradshaw of TN. 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; Sister, Helen (Miles) Bolokoski; Bernitta was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny Harger.
