Wayne was called to his heavenly home Friday, September 25, 2015, at Covenant Healthcare at the age of 78 years. He was born April 7, 1937. Wayne married Agnes Duby April 25, 1959. She survives him. He worked for A.C. Spark Plug as a tool & die designer for many years until his retirement in 1991. Wayne was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church and its male choir, the Lutheran Laymen’s League, and the Frankenmuth Conservation Club.
Surviving besides Agnes are their 3 sons: Matthew (Tracey) Raquepaw of Birch Run, Mark Raquepaw of Tucson, AZ, Joe (Maria) Raquepaw of Cazenovia, NY; 4 grandchildren: Cody, Nicholas, Natasha, Jessica; a sister and brother: Shira Opal (Ron) Ramer , David (Karen) Raquepaw; 2 sisters-in-law: Zada Raquepaw, Betty Raquepaw; and many nieces and nephews. Wayne was predeceased by 2 brothers: Earl and Glenn.
Funeral services will take place Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at 10:15 AM at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. and 11:00 AM at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. The Rev. Gary L. Bender will officiate with burial between services in St. Lorenz Lutheran Cemetery. Wayne’s family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Frankenmuth Fire and Rescue Department, or St. Lorenz Male Choir.
