Ronald D. Dahl, age 88, passed away peacefully at his home in Grand Blanc, Michigan, surrounded by his loving family on July 19, 2025.
Born on August 4, 1936, in Houghton Hancock, Michigan, Ron lived a life devoted to faith, service, and family. In 1959, he married the love of his life, Marilyn K. Dahl, and together they raised three children.
Ron proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1962. Following his military service, he built a long and successful career with General Motors at the Flint Truck and Bus plant, retiring in 1995.
A man of deep faith, Ron was a devoted member of the Bristol Road Church of Christ - a Family of Faith, where he served for many years through the His Ministries outreach. He was also a proud member of the Grand Blanc Masonic Lodge #571, achieving the distinguished honor of 33rd Degree Mason.
Ron had a giving spirit and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a gifted artist who enjoyed woodworking and painting, often sharing his creations as heartfelt gifts with friends and family.
He is survived by his daughters, Deanna (Mark) Ashlock and Lynn (Christopher) Ramm; grandchildren Kenneth (Heather) Ramm, Hayden (Chelsea) Ramm, Zachary Ramm, Abigail Ashlock, Samantha Ashlock, and Lillian Ashlock; and great-grandchildren Draven Ramm, Randy Ramm, Mason Sawyer, Jackson Ramm, and Matthew Ramm.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Lempi and Francis Dahl; his beloved wife, Marilyn Dahl; and his son, Ronald David Dahl.
Ronald will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate his life and legacy.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his generosity, talent, and unwavering love for his family and community.
