Age: 57
Community: Hartford, formerly of Swartz Creek, MI

Lisa Marie (Anderson) Foster, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at her home in Hartford, MI after a long courageous battle with cancer. Cremation took place through Calvin Funeral Home, 8 East Main Street, Hartford, MI. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. She left behind her husband, Bill Foster Jr., and son Jacob Stecker (her “love muffin”). Five step children, Aric (Miracle)Foster, Sara (Elmar) Von Hohenberg, Allyse Foster (Ryan Boyer), Stefany (Mike) Holland, Emily (David) Price and 10 grandchildren. Lisa was the oldest of 4 siblings; sister Laurie Baker (Charles) of Flint, brother Scott Anderson (Gina) of Colorado, and sister Nicole Hulsebos (Kris) of Charlotte. She was also a wonderful aunt to nieces and nephews; Rachel (Jamie) of Canada, Noelle, Julia and Natalie of Colorado, Kristoffer (Paula), Zack, Alex and Matteau of Michigan. She also left behind her mom, Joy, step-dad Ray, as well as her husband Bill's family and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Lisa was preceded in death by her dad, Ron.

Lisa was born in Milwaukee, WI. On November 26, 1962, to Ronald Edward and Josephine Emily (Matejicka) Anderson. When she was 5 years old, the family moved to Swartz Creek, MI. Lisa never had an enemy and would give you the shirt off her back at any given time. All of her siblings would agree that Lisa truly was the "Best Sister Ever.” Lisa made her dream a reality and became a Registered Nurse and traveled all over the state for her patients. She had the best temperament for being an RN. Having compassion and taking care of others was her passion. Anybody that knew Lisa would agree, she was an amazing caregiver, both on and off the clock.

She had her son, Jacob at a later stage in life, but you would never know it because she was the energizer bunny, she just kept going and going. Lisa was the "Best Mom in the World" and would do anything for Jacob and was always up for adventures with him.

We (Laurie, Scotty and Nikki) truly lost our sister, nurse, confidant, second mother and friend. When Lisa was diagnosed with cancer, she never stopped fighting because Lisa loved life. She refused to be defined by her illness and although it cost her her life, it never took her spirit. We want to thank all her caregivers, but especially our cousin, Julie Simmons. We (and Lisa) are very grateful for all all of your generosity and compassion.

Bill lost his wife and partner, Jacob his mother, and we lost a sister and best friend. However, none of us will ever forget what an amazing person she was. We love you mostest Lisa and miss you dearly, but we’ll never tell you good-bye, only see you later.
