HARRIS, Frank Carlton - Age 93, of Oran Missouri formerly of Flint, died Thursday September 3, 2020. Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday, September 9 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3PM-8PM Tuesday and 10Am until time of service.. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Veterans Administration. Frank was born October 4, 1926 in Ridgly, Tennessee, the son of Will and Allie (Howell) Harris. He married Sylvia Marguerite Richards on May 27, 1947 and she preceded him in death on September 23, 1982. Frank proudly served his country for 19 months in the U.S. Navy during WWII stationed in Guan & Spain rank was CB. He was a welder apprentice and received the Victory medal. Frank retired from General Motors Truck and Bus Plant, in 1978. Surviving are: daughter, Susan (Edward) Elder of Flint; son, Chris (Alice) of Oran MO; daughter-in-law, Janney Harris of Montrose; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren and many loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Allie Harris; wife, Sylvia Marguerite (Richards) Harris; son, Ronnie Lee Harris; granddaughter, Sylvia Marguerite Elder; great grandson, Ryan Stites and life partner Mary Lou C.Bula.
