GALONSKA, Nancy L. (Fetzer) - Of Flint, age 84, died Monday, January 12, 2015 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held 2pm Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society – Breast Cancer Research.
Visitation 5:30pm-8pm Wednesday and 12pm Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Nancy was born in Flint on December 11, 1930, the daughter of the late John and Winona Fetzer. Nancy graduated from Northern High School. She started her career as a telephone operator for Michigan Bell. Nancy then became a Key Punch Operator and retired as Supervisor of Data Processing from the Flint Board of Education.
Surviving are children, Michael and wife Denise Galonska, Sandra Galonska, James and wife Laurie Galonska;
grandchildren, Tonya and husband Ret. SSgt. Richard Root, Jeffrey and wife Terri Galonska, Katie and husband Jacob Smith, Kelli Galonska and fiance Joshua Pyles, Jennifer and Jacquelyn Galonska;
great-grandchildren, Dylan and Paityn Root, Allyson and Jenna Galonska and Kailyn and Jordan Smith;
sister-in-law, Jenni Sordyl;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward in 2011, daughter, Cheryl Anne, brother and sister-in-law, John and wife Dorothy Fetzer.
