Louie "BB" Abrams, age 64 passed away February 10, 2021 at McLaren, Flint. The funeral service will be held 11 am, Monday, February 22, 2021 at Freedom Temple Ministries COGIC, 723 W. Pasadena Ave., Flint, MI. Family hour will begin at 10 am, Monday, February 22. Family will receive friends from 12-4:30pm, Friday, February 19, 2021 at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint, MI. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Pastor Rev. Frank Woods. Louie was born April 12, 1956 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the son of Hattie M. Abrams. He attended Goins Elementary School and, Boteler High School Holt, Alabama during the seventh and eighth grades. In 1969 his family moved to Flint, Michigan. Louie attended Lowell Jr. High and Flint Northwestern High School. Where he was a member of the football and wrestling teams. BB was also a member of a singing group that was started with friends Jesse Williams and Joe Love. After graduating high school, Louie had a short stint playing college football. Playing running back at Miles College, Birmingham, Alabama. Louie was then employed by General Motors “Chevy In the Hole” for several years. After massive layoff in the automobile industry, Louie held several jobs including roofing. Enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and socializing with family and friends. Ready to help anyone with any work that needed to be done. Louie was preceded in death by mother, Hattie M. Abrams, Grand Mother Carrie Flowers-Thomas, Grand Father Will Thomas, Sister Ann Hill, Niece Lolita Hill, and Companion Kathy Mitchell. Louie leaves to cherish his memory Brother Walter Abrams, Sister Carrie Ann Abrams-Griffin (Louis), Sister Bondita Johnson, Mitchell and Gray families, and a host of nieces and nephews. |
