MCTAGGART, John “Jack” Patrick – of Montrose, age 74, died Sunday, February 14, 2021 at AdventHealth in Kissimmee, Florida. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 26, 2021 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. Pastor Christopher Grimes officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 Friday at Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Flint Junior Bowling Association, Humane Society of Genesee County, or the Charity of Choice.
Jack was born November 15, 1946 in Flint, Michigan to the late Thomas and Dorris (Alpin) Remillard. He grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Flint Northern High School with the class of 1964. Jack served his country in the US Army from 1966 to 1968. On April 9, 1983 he married Pamela Lysher in Fenton, Michigan. Prior to his retirement in 1999, Jack worked for GM as a repairman with 35 years of service. He was a member of SS Charles and Helena Catholic Church. Jack was the Past President of the Flint Bowling Association and was inducted into the Flint Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 2005. He was also a member of the Beagle Club in Otisville, Michigan. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and telling stories. He will be sadly missed by many friends and wonderful neighbors.
Surviving are: Loving wife of 37 years, Pamela McTaggart; Children, Karen (Vic) Brown, Tamara Sisk, Carla (Darrel) McCurdy; 9 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Patty (Chuck) Salerno, Bob Remillard, Matt (Jill) Remillard; Sister in law, Sandra McTaggart; several nieces and nephews; and his K-9 friend Sofie Jo. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Brothers, James McTaggart, Thomas Remillard; Brother in law, Richard Lysher.
