Marjorie Ann Stevenson a lifelong resident of Durand, MI died at the age of 97 at Courtyard Manor in Swartz Creek, MI. A private burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Vernon at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel.
Marge was born January 21, 1927 in Durand, the daughter of Spencer and Freda Higby. On October 16, 1948 she married Donald G. Stevenson and was married for 69 years. Marge and Don owned and operated Standard Oil Distribution in Durand and later in Owosso. She loved to go to Florida, enjoyed spending time with family and gardening.
Marge is survived by her daughters, Ann (Jim) Pilon of Durand and Jane Walters of Louisville, KY; grandson, Lee Stevenson; granddaughters, Jenny Drenth and Jody Hampton; and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; son, Robert; granddaughter, Mary Ann Dutmers; sister, Mary Gilmore; and brother, Fredrick Higby.
