BUNTING, Garret Russell- Age 37 of Clio, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018 with his family by his side. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 between 12 - 1 PM with the memorial service starting at 1:00 pm at Sharp Funeral Homes temporary location: Hill Creek Church of God, 5363 Hill Rd. Swartz Creek, MI 48473. Family is welcoming everyone to join them in a luncheon immediately following the service at the same location. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gift of Life Foundation of Michigan @ www.giftoflifemichigan.org or directly to his families go fund me page.
Garret was born January 12, 1981 in Flint, MI. Son of Michael & Laura (Council) Bunting and brother to Matthew Bunting & Michelle (Bunting) Landon. He was joined in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Alison Goldstein, February 17, 2007. Garret’s biggest passion in life besides his family was mentoring and coaching his children’s youth sports teams; especially the G.C. Xtreme travel basketball team. He was a diehard Michigan State fan and loved his Lions and Tigers (oh my!) Garret loved spending time with his family, vacationing every summer in the U.P. exploring Pictured Rocks and waterfalls. Garret was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Garret was like a big kid, having fun and goofing around, he was sure to put a smile on your face even when you didn’t feel like smiling. Garret was able to give the extraordinary gift of life by ensuring he was an organ donor which made him a true hero. Garret was the Vice President of ATIGROUP, leading the company in the energy reduction programs working directly with Consumers Energy and DTE, his efforts consistently placed ATIGROUP within the top contractors of Michigan participating in the energy reduction program. Garret devoted his career to ATIGROUP, supporting all the customers that placed their trust in the company not only through helping them reduce their costs but providing value in other areas such as service agreement and construction services for their heating and air conditioning equipment. He is survived by his wife, Alison Nichole; children, Aiden Russell (14), Madison Nichole (11) , and Jaxen Dennis (6); parents, Michael and Laura Bunting; brother, Matt (Stephanie) Bunting and sister, Michelle Landon; grandfather, Teddy Bunting Sr., mother in law, Rebecca Goldstein; Brothers in law, Michael and Tyler Goldstein and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by Grandmothers, Grace Anna Bunting and Mary Plieskatt; father in law, Mel Goldstein. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
